MY JOURNEY IN MUSIC

Javier Quiroz grew up in Mapleton, North Dakota, in a household where music was always playing. With family roots in Laredo, Texas and Nuevo Laredo, Mexico, his parents brought a rich blend of Spanish music into the home, while his older siblings exposed him to everything from pop punk to grunge. Those same siblings were his first music teachers, showing him the basics and sparking a passion that would smolder through his school years. Although Javier focused more time on sports throughout grade school, music eventually pulled ahead after high school and never looked back.

In his early twenties, Javier took his place behind the drum kit in Others, an original rock band that became a staple in the Fargo music scene. They played everything from local gigs and special events to sandbar parties on pontoons, blending a raw punk spirit with community-driven charm. The band's final performance was a high note—winning Fargo’s Battle of Hamm’s in 2024. As Others went on hiatus, Javier picked up the guitar and stepped into a new chapter. By February 2025, he played his first official solo show in Dilworth, MN, launching a journey that would quickly gain momentum.

 

Not long after, Javier also joined Javi & The Brambled Hearts, a five-piece country cover band blending “Classic, 90’s, and Now” hits with a self-proclaimed y’allternative flair. Whether playing packed pubs, street dances, or private events, he built a name for himself as a frontman with heart and energy. Now, just one year into his solo and bandleader journey, he’s set to perform at Minnesota’s largest country music festival—WE Fest—on August 9, 2025, sharing the bill with his favorite artist, Cody Johnson. As his second year unfolds, Javier plans to keep bringing his music to honky tonks and hometown stages while turning his focus toward writing and releasing new original material.
